Bradford City 1987-88 Football Shirt Drawstring bag

For Bradford City fans of a certain age, this season was a barnstormer packed with great memories, and this football shirt from 1987-88 was one that lives long in the memory. The design on this phone is based on the actual home shirt the players wore. It is worth pointing out that not even the official merchandise are using the correct shirt. There’s a little story to it. When the replica shirts went on sale back in 1987, the vast majority of the fans replica shirts had the stripes in the wrong order, instead of the amber stripe being down the middle (as it is correctly on our design), many replica’s came out with the claret stripe down the middle instead. So if you own a replica Bradford City home shirt from 1987-88 and it has the amber stripe down the middle, you’ve got a nice collectors item, as most were released with the wrong stripe down the middle.

With this design Forza Bantams have taken the care to recreate the shirt with as much detail as possible. This includes the light diagonal stripes that ran through the material, as well as giving the collar a realistic material feel to it. The Bradford Great City is a recreation staying as true to the original as possible, all of it is unique to us so you will not get the same thing anywhere else.

About the 1987-88 Season

The 1987-88 season is better known as the “nearly season” when the Bantams having been top of the old Division Two for a large chunk of the season, sipped to a 3-2 defeat on the last day of the season at Valley Parade to cost us promotion to what is now known as the Premier League. The subsequent play-off’s began well with a home 2-1 win against Middlesbrough, but unfortunately Boro would win 2-0 at Ayersome Park. But this was a Bradford City team packed with characters that are still long live in the memory, and it was the closest we have been to the top flight since the days the decline from the years we won the FA Cup.

Combine your love for Bradford City and a sporty style with a cool drawstring bag. It’s a must-have gym essential that can be worn as a backpack with drawstring closure at top, and narrow, contrasting shoulder straps.
