Mr Consistency this season has been the buzz word with Brad Halliday. This season he has put himself up there as probably the best right-back in League Two. His start to the season was steady but he has just got better and better with every match.

His defending has been a real pleasure to watch and he has been an easy first choice since regaining his place from Daniel Oyegoke. The steady and level headed approach to football has easily placed him as an instrumental part of the Bradford City team and one of those few players that fans would swap for anyone else in the same position.

His performances this season have been head and shoulders above anyone else in the team, so his award wasn’t a close run affair as has been the case in other seasons.

Young Player of the Year- Bobby Pointon

In our first award for Young Player of the Year it goes to Bobby Pointon who broke into the first team in style.

First introduced to the team by Mark Hughes, he found himself out of the team under Graham Alexander, but when fan pressure alerted Alexander to Pointon, he took his chance and showed his new boss why he deserves his place.

Having shown signs of a player who has the potential to go on to bigger things, the award of our Young Player of the Year wasn’t a hard decision to make. Hopefully Bradford City will agree a new deal with the youngster keeping him at Valley Parade for the foreseeable.
